Only a few more weeks of summer left!  Before you know it, we’ll turn the calendar to September and then things get really interesting.  Whether you spent your summer in Laramie or elsewhere, welcome back to Laramie and to Wesley! 

Our Fall Schedule resumes Sunday, August 22. 

Lunch will be a bit different this year.  Students who attend the 9 am service and participate in Wesley Conversation at 10:15 are invited to help volunteers prepare for the Lunch in Wesley Hall, then eat at 11:30 am.  Students who attend the 11:10 am service are invited to eat Lunch after worship then help volunteers clean up.  We are a community, we are a family at Wesley & First UMC.  How much fun it will be to eat together and help one another!

Also mark your calendar for other events that are already planned.

• Wesley Student Leaders - We will meet sometime in August to plan activities for this upcoming year.  Check your email or contact Pastor Laura to find out when and where.  Food will most likely be provided!

• Methodist Movers - Wesley and First UMC will help students move into the dorms, most likely August 19 & 20.  Our volunteers will be at the dorms from 6:30 am - 6:30 pm both days.  All Methodist Movers will wear a bright, red shirt so that others might recognize our servant spirit.  If you'd like to help, contact Pastor Laura ASAP so we can order you a tshirt!

• Singularity - 9 Christian RSOs@ UW will be hosting a Back to School BBQ called Singularity on Tuesday, August 24 from 5-7pm.  All students are invited for FREE hamburgers & hotdogs, and a Christian concert at Prexy's Pasture.  We need students to be at an information table for Wesley.  if you are able, even for a short time, please let Pastor Laura know.

• Joint Wesley Retreat - The Wesley Foundations at UW, CSU & CU are invited to a Wesley Retreat on Friday & Saturday, October 8-9, at Buckhorn Camp (outside Fort Collins, CO).  We'll leave around 3:30 pm Friday and return Saturday around 6 pm.
