Our goal is to make Wesley a place where YOU are comfortable and also challenged to get involved! |
Hello Friends,
The end of school at UW always brings a bittersweet task... celebrating and honoring the students who are graduating... and saying goodbye to them, as well. This year we want to mention the following graduates:
Julie Stephens Julie is graduating with degrees in History and American Studies. She is heading to Chadron State for advanced work in secondary education in Social Studies. Julie is from Scottsbluff, NE and is married to Michael who graduated last year.
Lindsey Stutheit Lindsay is graduating with a degree in fashion and design. She is heading to San Antonio to work for Nordstrom's in their management training program. Lindsay is from northwest Texas and is married to Josiah.
John Kindle John is graduating with a degree in Kinesiology Health Promotion with a minor in Psychology. John is heading to the University of North Dakota to begin a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. John has served as the President of the Wesley Campus Ministries for the last three years. He is from Riverton, WY and isn't married to anyone!
Also, this year we have special congratulations to give ... John Kindle was awarded the Tobin Memorial Award as the outstanding male graduate at the University of Wyoming! Also, Stacia Berry, who is a regular participant in Wesley programs and is a member of First UMC in Cheyenne, was awarded the Rosemarie Martha Spitaleri Award for the outstanding female graduating senior! Two more United Methodist young adults making a difference in our world already!
Being part of Christ's ministry in Laramie through the Wesley Foundation and First UMC has been a powerful and transformative experience. My life is so much richer for having the chance to come to know the special people who call this place home ... and the dozens of young adults who keep my hope for the future burning brightly. As we move on to begin a new chapter in God's plan for Dave and myself, know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and that, while ministry together may end, friendship never does!
Blessings now and in the future! Carol
